The young german conductor Mario Hartmuth has been recently appointed as 1. Kapellmeister and Debuty Music Director at the Staatsoper Hannover, Germany.

In the 25/26 season he will be leading new productions of Don Giovanni and Die tote Stadt as well as the revivals of Der Rosenkavalier, Le nozze di Figaro and Hansel and Gretel. Furthermore, he will be conducting performances of Lohengrin and Turandot.

Mario will als be leading one of the orchestra’s subscription concerts with Shostakovich‘s Symphony No. 10 and Berg‘s Violin concerto (Soloist: Antje Weithaas).
